hi guys i am in the market for a halide pendant and i was hoping for an honest opinion about the two i am interested in. the won psl 150 hqi and the pfo 175 or 250 se,my tank is around 40 gallons. i would like to have the option of getting any creature in my tank that i would like and not have to upgrade lights again. so which one would be a good choice or if neither of these are what i might need could you recommend one that is.

thank you for your help.

hey jeremy i am also a mustang nut i have a 91 notchback with the gt-40 crate motor and a votech supercharger. it pretty sweet if i say so myself:D

I would recommend 250watt if you want to keep any coral. 250watt is the most versatile wattage and right now is the most popular which means many new bulb options available in that wattage, compared to just 1 year ago. 150watt and 175watt will let you keep many corals also, so not that limited, but 250watt would open up more and you could raise the hood up higher from the tank as well which can help if you have any heat issues.

On brand. the Won hoods are very nice, it's an imported hood, but quality seems good and no problems so far with them. It's a nice neat, easy setup that looks good.

PFO is a larger sized hood, unless you are looking at the mini pendant. PFO offers more options later, you can change ballasts very easily, can have it customized, etc. So can do more things, but if the standard configuration of the won is what you need, it's a great choice.

We also just got in some new Aqualine Buske Ocean Light pendants, 250watt Double end with 20K bulb. We'll have these online very soon and will be a killer price.

thanks
