light question

hey all new guy here , just a quick question. I have a 65 gal reef
and run a 175 w 12k metal hilide and two 30w blue atinics.
I have some LPS and softies corals. what would be the least amount of light i could get by with per day.

I'd say you are a bit on the low side with 3.6 wpg. to keep sps, you should generally have between 5-7 wpg. You might want to look into getting a 250mh with 2x96w actinics. Outer Orbit among others make nice 36" lamps

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking but I'm assuming you are asking what the minimum number of hours the lights should be on per day is?

I would recommend a minimum of 8 hours for the halide, and longer for the actinics.
