Light requirement for a condylactis anemone?

I'm just curious as to how much light this particular anemone demands. I seen a medium sized one at the LFS today for 7.99. He appeared to be doing well under their low-light tank and was told he has been there for quite some time. I understand they can be aggressive, I currently have a 10g nano tank with 2 false percs (babies, about 1" big, just got them from a breeder) a coral banded shrimp, a brittle starfish, and some random sea urchin. As for corals, I have some mushrooms on a rock, but they don't seem to be doing to well :/ They looked pretty weird when I bought them anyway.

As for lighting, I currently run a standard T8 flouresecent bulb, 18w. I recently ordered this however

Will this anemone survive, or die off?

is it a price issue for buying the condy? for such a small tank, I would pick one you really like.

rbta's can be had cheap these days so i personally would add a rbta but its up to you.

An RBTA (aquacultured) is the much better bet. Condys move around the tank, they don't provide a home for clowns, and don't provide the centerpiece of a tank that an RBTA is. I sell RBTAs when mine split for $50. I would go that route and find a local hobbiest that needs to sell one.

"Condies" are not hosting anemones -- your clowns will either; ignore it, be hosted by it, or be eaten by it -- up to you if you want to take the risk.

IMO, all the hosting anemones will get too big for a 10 gallon, and are a poor choice for that small of a tank.

10g tank is pretty small for an RBTA, but it's all about tank stability, lighting and target feeding if you want to keep them healthy. I had a pair of false percula clowns use a fuzzy mushroom as a host in a 12g nano. You could try that route. They don't need an anemone.

You will not be able to keep any anemone under that Single Bright LED or any fixture that uses T8 lamps. Generally you would need like a 4 lamp T5 system or 2 of the Marineland Reef Capable LED fixtures.
