Lighting a FOWLR

Marineland LEDs sure aren't top of the line. If I still had a big reef, I'd go with something else; but I sure think they're worth what you pay for them, in my big FOWLRs, they're great. A real DIY guy, which I ain't, can do some searching and build these quite easily and cheaply. I have a friend & helper who is doing this for me. he made his own retrofits and they turned out great.

My 180 is lit by 2 96 watt 50/50 power compacts. I might add 2 more bulbs if I get more softies, but the shrooms and kenya tree I have in there now are doing fine.
