i would like to upgrade my lighting ...i currentlly have 220W PC lighting with moonlights on a 75G fish only saltwater tank with sand and live rock and inverts...i would wanna change to something that is pendant from the ceiling and that i can keep on 8 hours a day and that has a moonlight also...what do u think would be a good buy thanks

What are you trying to achieve? I think 220w of pc is plenty for a 75g. Unless you are going for a specific goal (shimmer lines from halides?, better color?) I would just stick with what you have and change the bulbs routinely.

Actually to be honest that setup is probably overkill for a FOWLR tank. You could probably get away with a couple of 40w NO bulbs and save your self some electricity.

k thanks i guess ill just replace my pc lights... what should i use 2 actinc and 2 50/50 from coralife straight pin

What fixture are you using? If you are currently using one of the coralife lunarlights they make a cable set to hang them instead of using legs on the top of the aquarium.

ive gotta 75G reef with 2X250W metal halides and 2X110W vho, but Ive got several sps, and you cant never put out as much light as the sun

Actually... the light intensity of a 250watt halide within 6-9 inches rivals the intensity of the sun at the surface of the tropical ocean. Keep in mind that the sun lights an entire solar system, and our lights only light our personal reefs. Some, such as myself have actually had problems with too much light.
