Lighting for a 36" 40 gal?

I am currently using a 198 watt coralife pc for the lights but it seems as though it just not enough. The problem is that there is a black center brace on the top of the aquarium. I'm just curious if anybody has any ideas on what other lighting options I might use.

T5's would be much brighter than PC and should help hide the brace. There might be someone here that Has 36" you could try to see if it helps, with out buying any T5's

Your best bet might be to upgrade to that 55 gallon that someone is trying to hawk on you....
