So I have been running an Aquaclear 50 Fuge mod for a while now. I have been just using a regular bulb as the light source with decent success. I previously had a canopy set up so all light was focused into the tank. I now have a hanging LED setup where some light is thrown outside of the tank now.
Two questions, I have read that running your fuge light opposite to your display is more beneficial. Why is that?
Also are my LED lights hanging 10 inches above my tank enough light for some cheato or does it need direct, focused light? That is if it is unnecessary to run the fuge light opposite to the display lights.
