lighting for tank?

I am thinking of going with a 125 gallon tank. Would I be able to use some 175w mh on it? as that is what I am using now for lighting on our 30g

This depends on what corals you plan on keeping you will have a tough time keeping things with high light req. near the lower portion of your tank

Usually for that size tank depending on how deep it is, people use 250 watt halides. If you have the 6 foot version 125 3 250 watt halides would do.
Alos as said above coral selection is another determining factor.

Thats what I thought. Well after I did some measuring were I want it to go it will not fit. So I may have to have a custom size built that is 64l x 18w and 16t.
