alright here is my problem, I have a 37 gallon column tank I started out with a current nova extreme pro 20 inch 6x18w t5 ho, i have a zoa rock on the sand about 22 inches from the top of the tank. I got a new light a current sundial 150w mh with 2 34w actnic pc. now my zoa's seem to be reaching for light but have had a better growth rate along with all my corals, is there anyway the t-5's were putting out more light than my new light?

I'm sorry, if I didn't quite get it.
Are you asking if 108W from T5s is more than (150W from MH + 68W from PC actinic)?
If that's the question, the answer is no. MH+HO combo is more W, of course.

You do get better uniform distribution from the T5s than the MHs and you can have a wider angle of choice for bulb combination using your 6 bulb T5 fixture.
Depending on the MH bulb choice it will look weaker than the 6 bulb T5, I guess.

If you tell us if something is going on with the polyps, and if there is something you are worried about, than we could be able to let you know what's up.

Grandis.
