lighting on refugium'???

hey guys

ive been cycling my 10 gal for 2 wks now. i just added the refugium with the ac filter. i wanted to know when to turn on the lights and how long.

right now i have refugium light on from 8am-4pm
than 5pm the main tank light turns on.

Question, do you work 3rd shift or something? how come the main tank lights dont turn on til that late? and ur in LA, if no tank lights are on during the day IMO i dont think ur fish are sleeping. or will sleep....

in my tank i turn my main tank lights on at 6am and off at 6 pm. when i had my refuguim i kept the light on from 6 to 11, or as long as i was up that way the algae will grow faster. Good luck with your new tank.

just asking. best to have refugium's on opposite of tank lights that's all, keeps O2 levels up at night, but it sounded like you have your tank lights on at night and not day wasnt really making sense to me.........................................................
