Lighting question AI Blade.

Light question for those who know or own AI BLADE strips. I’m trying to find lights with no fans. The Blades seem like a good option. So far what I’ve been reading is the par can handle LPS and SPS. My tank is 70 long 16 inches high and 18 inches wide. I was think about getting one grow and one glow. Is that enough light or do i need three? Two glow and one grow of a different combo. I suffer from migraines and the fans on my Nicrews are bothering me plus the tank is in my livingroom. thanks for the help.

I’m guessing you’d be looking at the 66 inch models for the 70 inch tank?

Lookin at the par graph (the site doesn’t seem to differentiate between the glow and grow):

The par spread is pretty even so two bars may be fine (I’d personally do three but two should be sufficient).

That said, I think the combo depends on what look you want. The Blade Grow leans heavily into the blue spectrum with only 6 cool white LED with the remaining being blue (per foot) and however the Blade Glow is strictly a blue to almost purple LED set up.

Science says the blue spectrum is where peak photosynthesis occurs however that does not mean you have to have a windex looking tank. If you want a whiter look, you need to bump up the whites (or add another light that has more white LEDs). Bumping up the whites will not sacrifice the blue that corals need.

I held off answering because I know you’d have good input.
