Lighting question for custom nano LPS dominated tank

Hey fellas -

Been out of the hobby for a little bit and have recently come across a very unique nano that I just can't pass up. The overall dimensions are 48" long x 12" deep x 8" high and when it's full, it holds approx. 15 gallons or so.

Anyway, I want this to be a LPS dominated tank with simple LPS like hammers, frogspawns and maybe fill it in with some zoanthids and mushrooms / rics.

I want to keep the set-up as sleek and low profile as possible as it will be custom mounted to a wall and I do like the look of an actual fixture either mounted to the top or preferably suspended from the ceiling.

I was thinking LED lighting or going with T5's. I've used T5's in the past and they work very well but all of my reading on LED's - I'm kind of at a toss-up. Since the tank is so shallow, I was wondering if those slack Marineland Double Bright LED strips would suffice with what I want (I'm looking for a full 48" fixture) and I'm thinking that even a 2 bulb T5 fixture would be way too powerful.

Anyone out there with very shallow tanks (12" or less in height) that have good success stories with either LED or T5? Of course, cash is always a consideration and I know you get what you pay for. I want to do it right the first time and be happy with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
