lighting question

I had got three 14k de light bulbs off ebay, replacing 2 14k and one 20k. After changing the lighting my xenia moved off the rocks and creeped up my glass to get closer to the surface. My question is is 20k bulb more intense than 14k which is possibly the cause of the xenia wanting to move higher for more light? or is it likely that the bulbs I got are just not as good as what I had? Even though the other ones were also bought on ebay but not sure if it was the same dealer. or is it just probably bound to happen with my xenia?

in theory the 20k would have less par. So I would guess just not as good of bulbs this time around from ebay, thats one of the biggest downsides.... but its hard to beat the price!

At the same time it is very normal for xenia to "grow" up the glass they prefer lots of lights. but i do have to say that I have never seen Xenia move on it's own to get to more light!

i got good bulbs from ebay and the last ones were supposed to be 14k and were like 10k to yellow, so today UPS delivered my 3 150 watt DE phoenix bulbs and i got to tell you i love this color the bulbs put out.

I got the 14k from ebay and it works great. Almost the same color as the Bluline and my corals are growing like weeds.
