Lighting Question

So, I have this 3 gal zoa nano.....If you've been to Phishy in the last 6 months, it's the same kind Serdar had set up by the front register. I've noticed that my zoas were starting to brown out and in some cases shrink to nothing. I'm thinking it's mostly due to lighting, as the kit only came with a 50/50 compact fluorescent.

I was thinking of upgrading to a viper....but I'm afraid that this is going to be massive overkill. The other possibility is that if Dan still has the nano's for $109 upgrading, and then getting a nano-tuner retro kit for the tank as well as a small chiller.

Any ideas??
