I have a 55 gallon and am wanting to make it an SPS tank, or at least start having SPS in it with my softies. What type of lighting do you guys suggest? I have heard I can use T5's, but is that enough light? Because the MH setup I was wanting is like 750.00 and it is a little out of my price range at this point. There are cheaper ones but still nothing under 625.00. I was looking at 4x130 VHO's because they are around 500.00. Which if any of these would work, and would they be enough light for possibly a 90gallon which I may upgrade to in the next year?

If you are looking to upgrade to a 90 go with 2*250 retrofit kits ($130 right now at hellolights.com w/ aro electronic balast) 2, 250W XM 10K bulbs ($65 each at hellolights.com) and then you can supplement with some atinics if you want.
You are now looking at $390 plus shipping, and the cost of atinics, look at www.ahsupply.com for PC atinics, they have the best reflector, and you can probably get a 2*55W PC atinics w/ electronic balasts/reflectors for about $130.
You now just need to have a hood to bolt this junk in, it is cheap to build your own.

I don't know if I have the patience or the time to really go with the retro-fit kits. I am a college student and only of so much space, plus I would have to buy or build a hood and I don't have room to build one. If I had more room I would definitely go with this though.
