Lighting recommendations for 24x24x20 cube?

So I'm in the process of upgrading from a 29 biocube hqi to a 24x24x20 cube. I've got everything I need except for some sand and lighting. What lighting do you recommend for the tank and how much? I would like to go LED's but don't really know where to start. How many watts would I need? I was also looking at diy led fixtures, how many led bulbs and what kind? CREE? bridgelux? 1w? 2w? 3w? also any specific fixtures?
Oh and the tank is going to be mixed reef with some sps, near the top i guess.

Thanks to everybody in advance

I know you said you'd go into DIY, but a single radion would be perfect for that size for almost everything except sps down low.

18 or 24" Ecoxotic Panorama PRO would be my choice. I feel the 24" fixture is a better bang for your buck as you get 2 more modules for $100 extra.

The Radion is also a great choice but over priced IMO.

rtparty, can you post a pic of your tank and what you have in there. I am interested in the ecoxotic but curious as to what they are capable of doing.

I love the radion on my 37g 24 x 18 x 21. Great growth, color and ease of use. Very small foot print and slick look as well. Does dim in the far corners of the 24 inch sides but I have sps there that responds well if you match the livestock correct.

I don't have the fixture yet but have been running 3 PRO modules for a while on my tank. One module is the RGB module and has very little PAR. It is more for color.

Those are some crappy cell phone pics that I took the other day. I should have the fixture and new tank soon. It was shipped already.
