lighting schedule

I plan to have a zoa dominated tank with a few different LPS, softies and eventually get some clams of different sorts. I was wondering what everyone elses light schedule for similiar tanks. Right now my lights run for 12 hours 7am to 7pm but I dont have any coral at the moment so before I start collecting coral Im just wanting to see if the time im running was a good enough schedule or do I need to trim it back to more fit with the actual daylight times.

I feel this question like most depends on your tank. You pic a schedule and if your stock is happy with no algea problems you leave it. If not, you adjust. My tank is about what you are planning other than the clams. I also run 12hrs. but the 1st. and last are 2 blues and 10 with all bulbs.

I run 12 hours too, from 9am-9pm with whites running only 4 hours a day. I have a zoa dominant tank with LPS. My zoas and LPS are doing well under these settings.
