Lighting Times For Tank

I set up a frag tank that I haven't used in years. I don't know how old the t5 bulbs are, but all the corals have browned out. I know they are old. I have some already ordered, but they won't be in till next week. Will it hurt if I leave the lights on over night to give it some extra lighting?

I would also suggest replacing them one tube at a time with a week between. If the bulbs are really old a dramatic increase in light could bleach your coral.

Photosynthetic organisms have a light cycle and a dark cycle. By having your lights on 24/7, the dark cycle never occurs, and you do more harm than good. Stick with your current cycle, as Aaron stated. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I won't leave them on at night.

Thanks, I was planning on doing this and maybe shortening the time a little.
