Lighting Upgrade Question

So I recently upgraded my tank from a 55 gallon to a 75 gallon. I was using a 4 bulb t5 fixture for the 55 gallon. I put the same light on my new 75 gallon and obviously it is not as bright anymore and dosent "light up" the whole tank. I am planning to stick with t5's, but my question is should I move up to the 6 bulb t5 or should I go even higher to the 8 bulb? I am worried that the 8bulb t5 would give me too much light as my tank has mainly lps corals in it.( I am not that into SPS or clams) What do you guys think? Any adivce would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

Six is fine if you have individual reflectors. If you go for an eight bulb tek its not much more and i think you can leave two off. That way if you get a 120 eventually you will have the extra power.

The eight bulb tek runs 4 bulbs per switch. I ran one over my 90 and had great growth. Might be too much for some lps though.

A 6x54W Fixture should be more than enough for what you keep, especially with ReefBrites in the mix. Remember that with too much light, your LPS will lose color (especially Acans and Brain Corals). JMO

over my 120 gallon,5 footer, i have a 4 bulb tek light,80 watts each and it is fine. You just have to know what each corals lighting needs are and where to place it. Just my opinion

Hey guys thanks for all the input, I think if I upgrade to more bulbs I will just stick with the 6 bulb as I feel 8 is way too much.
