Lighting

Depends on what you are trying to grow. If fish only with LR, then you don't really need that much light. Also, I can't tell from the site whether or not any of their setups will accomodate a 30" long tank, which I believe is the length of your tank. I have an AGA 29 gallon tank (30 inches long) and put a 65 watt (23") PC light retrofit into the AGA light thingy that came with the hood. It was a decent amount of light for the 29 and my LR + fish did fine with this. Again, it kind of depends on what you want to grow in your tank...

your tank is 30 inches. The one you are looking at is only 24". You could hang it if they have a kit to do that .

I have a 29 Gallon and I have this

Its the Current USA 130 Watt with lunar light set up. Its very quiet and pumps out some light. I have anemones and stoney coral that do great. very nice all around fixture and I highly recommend it. Shop around and you'll see that its pretty cheap.

If you are wanting more light check out the 150 Watt HQI Outer Orbit Metal Halide with 2 - 65 watt dual actinics for 280 watts total

WOW

I would get this one but the PC fixture works good with a few limitations.

Good luck,

I had one of those lights on my 46. Excellent. You can't go wroing with any of these. Get the best and most light you can afford. If you change your mind about keeping harder corals then you will have the light.

Thanks guys. I didnt make myself clear here. I have a 29gallon tank (long) which is 36". So I will need a 36" fixture. I am goint to have to go with the NOva Extreme like I posted. And with Nathan saying his tank is doing fine w/ that I am going to use that. The HQI w/ metal halides is a little too expensive for me. You dont always need the best, although I would like it.
