thinking about switching to a T-5 lighting fixture. presently have a coralife power compact with two 65w, 10,000k white bulbs, and two atinic bulbs. this is for a 75 gallon tank. what would you suggest, and with what bulbs. thanks.
i run aquactinics with 2 giesemann blue plus, 2 ati special blue(12k), and 1 giesemann pure actinic. this is on my 75 gallon and i have to keep ricordea down low so they will even open up cause seems like to much light for them they stay real small. cheapest fixture with individual reflectors is nova extreme pro, and nicer fixtures would be ati powermodule
You could also look look into the T-5 tek light depending on how much you want to spend. The Current nova extreme isn't bad either and its cheaper. Marine depot has good prices on the current and reef geek for the Tek light. My opinion though I would go with MH lighting, I was looking into getting T-5's and ended up with MH and I am more than happy! If you have any questions about the fixtures give me a call and maybe I can help. Or you could check out my 75 in person with the MH. I actually spent less on the MH than I would have on T-5s.
