when a zoa or paly don't get enough light do they cup up towards the light? if not what causes zoas or palys to cup up and by cup up i mean they are open but they aren't open all the way to look flat they are open just a little bit and look almost like a wine glass.

Mine most often look like that when they have been recently walked on by a hermit or shrimp.
