Hey everyone just thought I'd share my experience and how happy I am with results of such a cheap light
First, know that i have a 40 gallon breeder
the lights that I'm really proud of is an Odyssea t5 fixture 36" and I'm using just the stock lights
I took the acrylic splash guard so intensify my lighting and give it more of a shimmer
I grow all kinds of corals.
My sps seems to love it and haven't had any trouble
My zoas multiply like crazy in such a short amount of time
I have 3 clams (1 derasa 4 inches, 1 gold maxima 2 inches, and a blue maxima 1.5 inches) they all love it. Fat little clams
I also have 1 large rbta, 2 rainbow bubble tips, 2 green flower nem, all healthy from this light
This light I purchased for $80 and I can upgrade to ATI coral plus' but the stock lights are just so damn awesome for me. I run both white and blue in the day, then blue at night, then dim blue for an hour before lights out
Now, to dosing, I don't dose and my corals are so fat and healthy, Inever got the idea of dosing and what benefits it may have. But as of right now I think I might not need any? (I put a question mark because I want feed back on dosing and what do you dose and what it's for)
Just an additive to my dosing rant, I use red coral pro salt and it's expensive and I've heard great stuff about it so it makes me wonder if it's the salt? I may not need to dose because of the minerals and benefits that it has.
Well, share your experiences with the Odyssea lighting and tell me what worked well/bad for you? How you run them? Upgrades on them? :lmao:
