lights for sale - pc and t5

reason i am selling is because i just picked up a set of t5 from a member but my canopy can only fit 4 instead of the 6 t5. so i am selling it with my PC lights. here are the info on the lights:


1) pc fixture currently has 2-10k 65watt and 2-actinic 55watt bulbs inside a black fixture. asking price 90$

2) 2x54w Tek T5 retrokit w/SLR reflectors w/ blueplus bulb and aqua blue - 95$

buy both for $170

How old are the T5 bulbs?

s3al told me they are pretty much new. only ran a few hours -

the 2 t5 light kit was only used by s3al. i haven't even fired them up. i pretty didn't put it in since after installation of the 4 bulb kit, i was maxed out of space under the hood. here are some pics of the lights for sale.

no more room in the hood for the other set of lights. anyone got any ideas to offer on how i can put 2 more into this hood? got bout 1 inch till the back. thats pretty much it.

You can run them on Icecap ballasts and you'll have the same effective output as 6 bulbs. This will run them hotter and shorten the bulb life a little. You may be just fine with 4 bulbs though. What type of corals are you keeping or planning to keep?

yes, i got the 4 on an IC ballast. i bought the other t5 - 2bulb so i could do the whole dusk and dawn setting since the IC only has 1 plug. but ended up not having enough space under my hood, thus the sale of the 2 t5.

Is your tank less than 18" front to back? That's about the minimum you need to fit 6 end caps next to eachother.

the fixture is 48inches and the lights are i belive 20inches straight pins.
