Lights out ..........clam?

My Magnetic MH ballast was fried last night. I only have a pair of 48 inch VHO 's on the 120 it is in now. I will need to save up some dinero to replace the ballast. I have a clam attached to a Huge piece of live rock. I feel the need to move the clam to another of my tanks. None of them could house the live rock it is attached to. How do I detach without harming the clam?

You can cut the threads on the clam without harming it. It will form new threads in the new tank.
