Is it normal for clowns to lay on their sides on the sand bed when you turn the lights out?appears to be no diseases and the water tests fine with only Hightower phosphates and ph at 8
Once I saw my clownfish sleeping on the sand being pushed around in the flow while still lying down. This was a year ago and they are still very happy today. They end up falling asleep however they feel comfortable i suppose.
Ya i found one of my newer ones doing that. first thought he was dead. Then he moved around. Then he had his head stuk in the sand....then I thought he had a boyancy problem. Then he struck at the sand.
Now it just who he is. Never have a clue what new position I will find him in.
