linckia starfish evisceration

it appears that my blue starfish has expelled some of its internal organs (2 days after arrival).
Is it an ominous sign? can it recover/regenerate the organs?

the string of viscera disappeared. not sure if it internalized them or cut them loose. it seems to be fine walking along the glass
