No you only need to add calcium supplements when your calcium levels dropping and water changes aren't enough to keep them stable

Also, be wary of adding things that you don't test for. Do your water changes. If you start keeping corals, start testing for Ca, Mg, and alk. Only add if levels aren't in spec.
