Little black spots on Ocellaris?

Both of my Ocellaris have these black spots all over them. They act completely normal, I just noticed this in the last couple of days. Is this just normal for them?

Are they hosting on something sharp? I've seen spots like this in peoples clowns that were perfectly healthy - but hosting on a montipora... However - if that's not the case, maybe someone else has an idea? Are they eating well? Usually if they're sick - they will show you by their eating and swimming habits...

they swim and eat perfectly normal. and i think they tried to host in just about everything in my tank. lol

i have 2 other ocellaris too that don't have those spots though, so i just found it a bit strange.

They're probably just trying to host on a coral that's stinging them. Probably zoanthids or something. My percula had spots like that for a month and hasn't had them since.

Yep just trying out something new, my clowns did the same thing when they first hosted the open brain. I read that it is just the clowns skin reacting to a sting until they build up an immunity.

Just little melanistic spots. They can occur normally or can be prompted to show up from what was described above. Nothing I would be too concerned about.

mine had them as well for a few weeks but they seem to have gone away now so i wouldn't be too worried
