Little Clams in Chaeto

So I bought a clump of Chaeto from my LFS and as I was inspecting it I saw some little clams in it. Here's a pic:

Can you place it on a white background and take a clear picture? I'm interested. Clams generally live in the sediment. Mussels and scallops will live on algae
 
Okay here's the pics. The clam or whatever it was was attached to the strand of chaeto.

Mussel. I can't say what kind but I know it ain't blue mussel. Large ones (2+ in) tend to die on me but every few months I find a new brachidontes (sp?) Mussel the size of your photo.
