I have little white/grey mostly 3legs stars in my tank. They are a pest, and need to know if anyone knows how to get rid of them. There's hundreds and multiplying. Is there anything that might eat them. Thanks

Harlequin shrimp will eat them but the shrimp will starve once the asterinas are gone. I find that manual removal works, it just takes a little longer. Every time I walk by a tank I would pick the stars off of the front panel, the numbers will slowly drop.

Yes, that's exactly what they are, now I need to pick up a new Harlequin shrimp to get rid of them. Thanks alot, I appreciate the fast response.

Harlequin shrimp will only starfish. Talk with your LFS from where you buy the shrimp and see if they will give you chocolate chip star cheap. My LFS sells them to me about 5$ cheaper than normal. So be ready to spend 20-40$ a month to feed that shrimp.

not sure if the OP is going to come back to read this, unfortunately.

he got the answer he WANTED to hear...

thats what really breaks my heart about this hobby, there are certain individuals who do not think about the conservancy of the wild eco systems these animals come from, they only care about solutions for their tank...

:furious:
