live rock and hyposalinity

hi guys,
i read from the forum that hyposalinity can harm LR,is it true?? i think my tank are infested with furgus or bacteria and i lost my angelfish.scrathing and white growth cover the entire eyes.now the tank is empty but with live rocks.my question is can i do a hyposalinity??

it will kill off anything alive on your rock..

And it will give you a nice ammonia spike that can kill the fish.

To be safe, I'd let the tank sit w/o fish for 6-8 weeks. Sounds like a long time, bit it will allow any parasites to die off. Fungal infections are pretty uncommon in saltwater tanks. Be sure to properly quarantine any new fish when you start restocking.
