Live Rock and Lights needed

I just got a 90g tank and had live rock lined up but the deal fell through. Would like to pay about $3 to $4 a pound depending on the age and quality of the rocks.
As for the light I will need 2 250 MH can be retro it doesnt matter. Will pay up to $300 for a complete setup.

Did you get some live rock?? If so, where and how much?? Got any pictures?? I am looking too. It seems like the kids up north have all the Southdown and live rock for sale, but nobody around here.

I got some coming outta florida on monday evening should have it on wednesday at the latest. Got Figi just under $3 a lb delivered. Will post pics when it comes in, supposed to be covered really well in coralline and sized for my aquarium. Its a husband and wife team just out of tampa, which allows it to come standard UPS here within a 2 day window which means really low shipping the website prices it a little higher but they pointed me to ebay to get it at $2.14 a lb. They have a really good record on ebay with lotsa great feedback for what thats worth. I will be the guinea pig and let you know how it goes. By the way should any of you order, make sure you check shipping by splitting it up. I was wanting 100 lbs and the shipping was to be like 87 and some change. When I broke it down to 2 orders of 50 it was like 68 and some change. So you might want to check it to be safe. When I spoke with them on the phone about it they told me whichever way made it cheaper on me then to submit my order that way and I did so I got two 50lb boxes coming. Also I dont think I stated its Walt Smith International for what thats worth.

I have heard the walt smith rock is supposed to be good stuff.

I can't wait to hear about the arrival and if you like it. I plan to order 100 lb or rock also once I have my new tank ready for water and was considering Premium Aquatics. Cheaper and just as good is also nice

Only thing though I saw with PA is that they have their rock curing a while in a large tub before it is shipped and you can kinda pick what rock you want. I'll check out this place you were talking about now.

eBay scares me, always has. I am going to take a drive down to Tarpon Springs (reefer rocks) and Tampa Bay (TBS) if they both allow pick-ups. IF not, I will bite the bullet and ship. In the meantime, I plan to keep looking here on RC for deals.

I waited and ask here on RC and without much luck, like I said I will guinea pig it and if I get ripped I will post here to keep others from it. But I really dont want to pay 5-8 a lb and in some cases more for live rock. I needed the rock so i can put it in to cure. I hope that it comes out ok.
