Live Rock Breaking Question

I am going to get my LR from LFS today. I will be breaking it up to aquascape. This rock has been in a container at LFS for 3 weeks with skimmer. The rock looks nice and clean.

Does this mean that the rock is cycled or cured?

By breaking it does this restart the curing process?

The rock is probably pretty much cured. Breaking it up should not have too much effect on it (have done this myself). The newly exposed areas will be somewhat more prone to nuisance algae however.

Do wear eye protection when breaking the rock (did not do this and should have).

it should be cured as long as it does not smell foul

when you break the rock use a chisle to perforate it first so it breaks in a nice line when you acctually go and break it
