Live rock infested with worms

Is there anything that will eat the little tube type worms all over the live rock? They look like minnie feather dusters.

it's possible that they are fan worms and not a problem. if they are transparent, then you may have aiptasia - a type of anemone that is a real pest. a pic would help. if what you're looking at is a bunch of little white tubes with the fans on one end, they're your garden-variety fan worms and harmless. I'd leave them be in that case. If/when you add fish and crustaceans they may control the population for you. the only problem I've had with them is that they can settle in pump mechanisms and slow things down. regular cleaning of the pumps will handle that issue

It is possible they are vermetid snails. I have asked about these before and I was told there are no known natural predators that are reef safe. They took over my tank and covered my snails and crabs and everything else. The only thing to reduce them was to break them off as close to the base as possible. Below pic is an example of what I had in my tank.

Hey...thats good to know ...only one problem . They are taking over everything even growing on the glass. I will get some batteries in the camera and send down a picture in just a little bit. Thanks for your help. I just got back from the LFS. Bought a beautiful Flame angel for the 90 I have in my bedroom. Anyway, he said that a coral banded butterfly will eat them. Have you heard anything to that effect? He also said there was a snail that would help keep the population down, but he did not know the name of it. Any guess's? I'll get the pics down after I finish the drip aclimation on this beauty !!
