Live Rock Purchase

All, where is the best place to get Live Rock for a good price. My LFS's want $5.99/lb for Fiji and Tonga (sp?). Can you get this cheaper online, but is the quality good?

from what ive been told it might not be a bad deal, you could pick the pieces you want and wouldnt have to worry about a lot of die off.

Join your local reef club...I'm getting mine from a fellow member for less than 3$/pound for a mix of Fiji, Marshall, and branch -- and no shipping charges. Best thing is I will have little or no cycle using someone else's established rock.

You can also look at Craigslist...lot's of LR for sale there (at least here around DC).

There is a lot to be said for being able to pick your own out on site. $5.99 not a bad price to be able to do this depending on how much you need. You can also get a 50\50 split on live and base to offset some of the cost if you want.
