Live Rock question

I received my order of 22 lbs. of Fiji Premium LR on Dec 21. I put it a tub of saltwater (SG 1.021) with a heater and powerhead. On Dec 24, I put the LR in a new 24 AquaPod with 30 lbs. of Bahama Aragamax sand. The sand was put in the day before so the sandstorm was done before we put the LR in.
When I got the rock, there was a bunch of pink and purple coraline algae on it. Now, on Jan 3, there's barely a spot of color visible. Is this part of the normal cycling and die-off? Everything is pretty much brown.
Will the colors come back, or has it all died off?

Slam308,

Thank you for your post. It is normal for some or all of the coralline algae on the surface of your live rock to die off during curing. This will return as the live rock finishes curing and acclimates to your aquarium. If you have any further concerns regarding your live rock, please call us at 1-800-334-3699. We have included a link to our Live Rock Curing and Acclimation Guide below. We hope you find this information helpful as you work with your rock. Please let us know if we can be of any additional assistance.
