Live Rock turning brown?

I got in a shipment of live rock in about 2 weeks ago. I cured it in a bucket outside im my garage. It was fully cured. I put it in my tank. I notice the tops of the rock are turning a lite brown color. Is this normal. Its my 1st salt tank.Also does the rock change different colors? If not what can I do to correct it

Can you brush the brown off?

If you can it is most probably a diatom bloom, a normal phase in tank cycling, it will pass in a few weeks

Will the ammonia and nitrate go up

No, not if the rock was fully cured, Diatoms is a type of unicellular algae

I have some snails in the tank. Their cleaning it up
