Live rock

Ok. So i have a cool foam backwall on my 125. My question is could i use less rock because of the backwall? Im just thinking that i could because the nitrifying bacteria will also populate in the crevaces and on the surface of the backwall. Is this correct or am i way off?

Is there any real rock to it or is it just foam.

Mainly foam and small rock pieces.

Also on the left is my drain pipe ( no overflow) its a 2" pipe. Xould i just slap a durso on and call it a day or what do you think? Right is my return pipe also.
