Live Rock!!!!

I just recieved my order of 75 pounds of UnCured Live Rock from ya'll. I was just wandering how long it has been out of the water. I know when I had ordered it last week that ya'll would be getting a new shipment in Saturday 19th, and my order would ship Monday 21. So was that live rock just sitting in a box for those 2 days or do you use a salt spray over it to try to keep it fresh or what??? Thanks for your info....

Hi Tony,

Glad you got the rock okay. We treat rock like it's live coral. We put it in our large curing pools as soon as we get the rock, so it was in the pool by 1:30 saturday, then we pull out of the water right before shipping.

Just out of curiosity.....how much macros are there on average with the cured rock? I got some....probably more as the rock ages and cures...but I was hoping for a little more. Does your cured rock have more macros on it or is it just covered in coraline?

Hi,

It really varies from week to week and piece to piece. Some pieces do not have much and others are just covered with it, but i've noticed it falls off most of the time during curing, but then a month or two later you'll see it growing really fast.
