i was wondering my tank is doing extremely well right now considering that it took forever to get the copper out of my water and my live rock has tons of puple algea on it what comes after the purple algea do things begin to grow off of it now????

I wasn't really aware that you could get copper out of a tank... certainly a difficult prospect. I'd seed the live rock you have with some small pieces of new stuff... if you had copper in the tank you killed off a lot of what makes live rock 'live'. Stuff doesn't just sprout out of live rock on it's own. You need to seed it with coral, unless you're just extreemly patient. You can buy small coral frags, or find a friendly reefer from your area who will donate.

in the future do yourself a favor always treat your fish in a QT tank. that way you dont have to try and get the meds out. Be real careful putting anything in your tank, read read read before adding any inverts or corals. Some will say if you have ever had copper at any time do not add this species etc. This is certainly not the easiest way of doing it, but probably by far the best in the long run would be to set up a QT tank, let it cycle, then move your fish into it. Drain, clean, and restart your your display tank, and do not reuse your substrate etc. I would just worry about the problems you could have in the future. Having only dasels this might be the best time to do it before you have fish that cant all go into the QT at the same time. Their may be better options, but thats the best advice i can give. certainly better than putting hudreds of dollars in live rock and coral and having them possibly die.

this is my problem i already have a good amount of fish in there now if everything died off on my live rock how come its producing purple algea like crazy

its not so much of an issue if "everything" died off, but if the vast majority died off you will not have anough biological filtration needed to break down that bio-load. How did you go about removing the copper? Im only asking because ive not heard that being done before. i made a similar mistake and added meds to the water then read online that it will kill my live rock and inverts. Just make sure you also replace your filter paks too, as they will hold trace amounts of copper, if you havent done that already.
