Live rock

I orderd live rock online and now that it is in my tank i notice that it doesnt have any little feather dusters or anything on it. It does have a little bit of coraline growth but thats about it. The live rock that i already had in my tank that i bout from my lfs had little organisms all over it right away. My questions is is the new live rock i ordered dead or what can i do to help it become alive again?

If it has coraline growth on it it is not dead. As long as you have current in your tank the organisms from your other live rock will spread to the new rock.

Highland's right. As long as the LR has been kept wet it should be okay. Organisms will eventually attach themselves to it.

ok good i just wanted to make sure it is alive enough to be a filter.

No worries, a little time in your tank and all the life will return. The coralline is a good sign.
