Hello RC Members,
I have a (16 gal) tank with just live rock and live sand that I have been cycling for a week now. I have about 20 lbs of Bio-Active Argonite Live Sand in the tank about 1" high. Should I add more sand to the SB. If so how much should I add? I was thinking about an additional 10 lbs to give me more biological filtration. I really do not want a "DSB" because of the size of my tank.
Another question for you marine experts! What does dead live rock look like. I have purchased partially cured Fiji Live Rock from my local provider. Seems to be good quality, but has some fish net looking sponge on some areas of the rock. Should I scrub that off? Should the Live Rock be stacked up in the tank carefully? If you have any good suggestions or comments please feel free to post a ideas.
