live sand turning green

5 month old reef/fish tank with what looks like gree algie on sand .....any ideas?

is your power head pointing twards the sand bed? if so its probably that algae that grows from flow. i forget the name but i get it some times i just scoop it out with my hand

What are your nitrate and phosphate levels?
Do you use RO/DI water?
How much flow do you have?
Do you have a skimmer?
