Get busy living...
I just brought home this beauty of a lobophyllia hemprichii yesterday.
It was housed under LED lighting and I have a Vertex Illumina SR 260 over my 120gal reef.
My concerns is:
I lost a similar lobo in the past due to burning from a less than impressive LED fixture.
For those having success with these corals under LEDs, are the lights doing much in the way of maintaining the corals health? Or is a supplemental feeding routine the main objective?
The lost lobo didn't ever exhibit much of a feeding response. When it would eat, it was a slow process, so most of the foods were stolen by crabs or shrimp. I'll have to see how this one reacts.
What seems to be their foods of choice? Chopped mysis or brine, frozen coral foods, Reef Chili or pellets?
This coral has quickly become my "pet" project.
The colors are just spectacular.
Thanks for any and all replies.
