I have just moved here from Denver CO. and i can't find a salt water store any where around! i am living in LaPorte IN. so if some one woud be so kind as to give me some local or at least the best,closet stores in Northern IN. I have a 90gal reef system that i have to get started back up!!!!!

Both, I am trying to get my tank back up and running! i had to totally break it down to move and that was over a year now.... I may have to order online, God I MISS DENVER LFS,s

If you're looking for salt then Foster and Smith is awesome for Reef Crystals. Lighting and other goodies I always get from Premium Aquatics, Phishy Business, or Reef Specialty.
Cleanup crews I always get from Live Aquaria, Blue Zoo Aquatics, Keys Critters, or Reeftopia.

Sure there's some LFS, but you can't beat the prices of these online vendors.

When it comes time to get some corals head to the CMAS forum. There are a lot of good people about an hour or so from you that have great prices on frags.

Hi I don't know how far you want to drive, but there is a nice store in Knox called Crickets Sea Critters, Its not a large store, but if he doesn't have what you are looking for he'll find it. I know there a few in Valporaiso that would be closer to you but I honestly can't tell you the names only been to them a few trips coming back from Chicago. I just go to the yellow pages on the net and look for LFS in whatever area I am going to be going through , makes the trip less boring for my kids. (the salt tanks are my 11 year old sons) .
If you want to drive down to Bremen, IN I can spare some pulsing xenia, and have a few other frags of Kenya tree and finger leather.
Nothing real fancy, but it would help get you started again. I don't ship the xenia, it doesn't do so well.

Great Glad I can help, If It wasn't going to be so long I am getting ready to transfer 2 tanks into one (next week or 2) and have a huge sebae anemone (bigger than a dinner plate) and a large fox face that I am going to take over to Knox for store credit, They are just getting way too big. Iwould list them on here for sale but I don't know exactly when I am doing the switch and am going take them out when I start removing things from the tanks. I can't ever catch that foxface! Hey there buddy from Laporte...
I live in valparaiso and here are some stores "in the area"
1. Valparaiso pet and hobby --> pretty standard stuff.
2. The arc at I65 & 30 Merrilville --> really good selection but pretty pricey.
3. Pet Haven - US 6 & 49 -- pretty good selection decent price
4. Exotic Aquatic - highland IN very nice stuff very pricey were talking SPS and what not

Also, when you get your tank up and running I have some fun little mushrooms you can have if you pick them up.

I burned up my mag 12 pump so i'am running on only one pump for now sorta slowed me down alittle,,, what ya gonna do! plus i just found a job so things can really get going now! I would really love to get some mushrooms hey do really great in my tank,
