Dear All,
I got a Powder Blue Tang not long ago, and he pretty much exclusively eats Nori. The Nori I have is the green kind from Giant Eagle (a.k.a. Giant Eagle's), and it's cooked in some way or another. Does anyone know of places to get more varieties of seaweed, and also more "fresh"? I've been soaking it in vita-chem to try to get as much "bang for the buck" as I can as far as nutrition goes, but I'd like to have more "staples". I'm not too worried about his eating, as he apparently has a palate for caleurpa, which I have overgrowing one rock. I saw him eat mysid (frozen) at Elmer's, but he doesn't eat it in my tank for some reason.
Also, I'm trying my best to litter my tank with as many frags of zoas, palys, mushrooms, and leathers as I can, so anyone with frags they're looking to sell anywhere close to Oakland, please leave me a PM.
I had another question regarding refugiums. My tank has been up and running for 3 months, and the sand bed is finally getting some small worms burrowing around. I don't, however, have any species of copepods except a couple, and I have never seen a bristle worm or any "unexpected" residents. Is there a way (other than the $100+ "refugium starter kits") available to add some more diversity to the system?
Thanks,
Summit
