"Long Clawed Hermit" Pagurus longicarpus suitability for clean up crew??
Does anyone know if "Long Clawed Hermit" Pagurus longicarpus is ok as a reef tank clean up crew (reef safe)?


So far going on day 5 they are doing great and no problems or deaths and they are doing a bit of sand cleaning.

From my experience with hermits 90% of the time they are great janitors. Some of the rather large ones (over three inches) will become predatory. So if you have a slow, bottom-dwelling fish they would be an easy target.
