This just happened and I am a newb. My quality of water isn't the best ( although I hooked up my new ro/di filter today with the help of a friend from here !!!!!!) The zoa's are nuclear green long stemmed. Can I attach this one that broke off to a piece of rock? I can't tell anything about it having a base. ANY help greatly appreciated!!!!

Hi,

Yes, you can attach the stem with some Krazy Glue, or something similar, to a piece of rock or a frag plug. It does sound like you're moving a little fast though (acquiring corals before using r/o water). You should have started with r/o water. Anyway, that doesn't matter now. You're already at this point, so do the best you can, and slow down a little, as it sounds like your tank is relatively new. Listen to your friend from here. Good luck with your new adventure!

I attached it and it opened right away and is doing fine! I am actually coming up on 2 years in the hobby but live in a fairly rural area and haven't had any help getting started. Taking things more seriously since I have satrted adding corals....spend lots of time on here....reading, reading, reading! Thanks for your help!!!!
