Longfin Cardinalfish

Otherwise known as threadfin, blue eye, etc.
Anyhow I have (2) in a 29 gallon aquarium. One appears to have a longer fin n the top: than the other, IDK if this means its a male or what but the other one's fin appears to be getting slowly longer and longer. Anyhow they were fine togeather until recently, when they both appeared to start having ripped fins, the one with the LONGER fin appears to have less than the other. I plan on moving one of them to another aquarium....

Do 2 not get along well in a 29g? What if I added a third? Mabe the groups not big enough or the tank is too small, idk...

I had a pair of banggai cardinals that was sold to me as a mated pair. The larger fish bit the smaller one all the time, and pretty soon it was dead.

the other fish is a tank bred maroon clown which is very passive at this point...
a recently added engineer goby
and a black cap basslet ( I suspect it but i dont ever see it going after the fish)

now today one half of the tail fin is missing off of the cardinalfish with the longer fin, the one i presumed male.... which leads me to beleive the black cap doesnt like them
